CONCEPT DESIGN
& REALISATIONS
CLIENT: Wine cellars, tourist and cultural organisations, private customers
DATE: From August, 2025
I have always had a deep love for the world of wine and all its poetry. That is why I have developed a project that stems from the encounter between graphics, wine and territory.
It is a VISUAL TASTING, an artistic experience in which wine is not tasted but printed.
I have transformed an old early 20th-century bottle rack into a ‘manual printing press’, through which guests participate in the creation of a unique print, layering three inks: Arneis, rosé and Nebbiolo; layer by layer, the illustration comes to life! And the moment is transformed into a tangible, yet above all personal, memory.
Uniqueness and exclusivity are the key words.
The project can take the form of a private experience for guests interested in art and wine, or be developed into larger-scale events, in collaboration with a winery, for an exclusive evening with a tasting.
HOW THE MACHINE WORKS
The process involves the overprinting of three different colours, which together form an illustration:
white wine + pink wine (which, when overlaid, create the fourth colour, the overripe wine) + red wine.
The project is inspired by the linocut printing technique, i.e. engraving on rubber.
I begin by drawing an illustration based on the event’s theme, then proceed to create three moulds which will be placed in the machine
and first inked by me, before allowing the visitor to carry out the printing on a A6 card.
In this way, the result is personal, arising from each person’s unique touch.
AN EVENT, AN ILLUSTRATION
Uniqueness is the key word.
Customisation isn’t just about the printing, it starts right from the creation of the illustration:
depending on the client’s request and the nature of the event, the design will be different.
It will remain the customer’s property, and they may reuse it if they wish to organise another event in the same style.
Both the front and back of the card can be customised, and I will personally handle the entertainment during the event.
